Manuka Honey Chocolate Truffles Recipe
The most common ways to use MANUKA HONEY are as a spread on your morning toast or as a natural sweetener in a hot or cold drink. But like any true superfood, Manuka can be used to create a multitude of different, healthy recipes.
To underline its role as a SUPERFOOD, we’re going to show you how to create a tray of fabulous chocolate truffles with Manuka honey, ideal as a treat for all the family at any time of year or as a homemade gift.

Approx. 12 truffles
Ingredients
- 1 cup of ground almonds
- 12 dates, pitted
- 1/4 cup of raw cacao nibs or powder
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 1/4 cup plus an extra 2 tablespoons of shredded unsweetened coconut
- 1/8 cup of chia seeds
- 1 tbsp of MANUKA HONEY MGO263+ to taste
Method
- Place the dates in a large bowl or mixer and blend until smooth.
- Add in the coconut oil and continue to mix. Gradually add the ground almonds and chia seeds until you have a thick paste.
- Add the raw cacao nibs or powder and 2 tablespoons of the shredded coconut.
- Next, add the Manuka honey and ensure that everything is mixed thoroughly.
- Use your hands to roll the mixture into small balls. Roll each one in the remaining shredded coconut until covered.
- Repeat the process until all the mixture has been used and leave to chill in the freezer until ready for to serve.
